The first step in a multi-phase plan to turn an existing single family residence into a swiss army knife for multi-generational living, aging in place, and passive retirement income. The plan was designed for maximum flexibility between the existing house and two-story addition, which is its own ADU / self-contained unit, to allow for a wide variety of uses and living arrangements in the future.

Shaped by the irregular rear yard setback and nestled behind a row of mature Juniper trees, a series of sun-drenched spaces with complementary decks ascend vertically before crescendoing in a master bedroom / art studio with panoramic views of San Francisco and beyond.
