Felix Associates is family-run architecture studio led by partners Jeff Marsch and Julianne Chou. Together we have a broad range of experience across a variety of project types and scales after working for some of the best architects and contractors in the country.

In 2021, driven by an immediate need for space and flexibility in the Fong-Chou family home and the astronomical cost of construction in the Bay Area, we decided to take on a self-built house addition in the heart of San Francisco.

Using all of our past experience, we’ve now set up our own shop to help people solve spatial problems within their means and create beautiful spaces that, we hope, give them little moments of joy every day.

Services

At its core Felix Associates is a design-focused full-service architecture studio, with an overlay of expertise from the owner and contractor side. Our aim is to leverage our experience from all sides of the owner-architect-contractor relationship to make highly collaborative and enjoyable project experiences for our clients.

While we are willing and able to assist with any project needs, our work is largely focused on small infill projects in our respective hometowns of San Diego and San Francisco and their surrounding areas. Our specialty is in solving complex problems that elude standard solutions.  Complex sites, difficult planning criteria, unique programs - these are the things that inspire us to do our best work.
